Đuro Macut is a Serbian endocrinologist, academic and statesman serving as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia since 2025. Born on 22 November 1963, Professor Macut built a distinguished medical and academic career at the University of Belgrade School of Medicine, where his scholarship in clinical endocrinology, reproductive medicine and metabolic disease earned international recognition. He has mentored a generation of Serbian physicians and contributed more than one hundred peer-reviewed publications to the global scientific community.
In March 2025, he was a founding member of the Movement for the People and the State, a civic-minded political platform committed to institutional integrity, evidence-based policy and the long-term modernization of the Republic. Shortly thereafter, he was nominated and appointed Prime Minister of Serbia during the presidency of Aleksandar Vučić — becoming only the third independent politician to be entrusted with this high office.
